An agreement on purchasing 10 AC311A helicopters has been inked between AVIC Changhe Aircraft Industry (Group) Corporation Ltd., a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., and Shanxi Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd in Jingdezhen, East China’s Jiangxi Province.
The purchase opens a new chapter for cooperation between the central and local state-owned enterprises (SOEs) while implementing the national strategy of developing the low-altitude economy.
The AC311A helicopter was developed based on the AC311 helicopter, with upgrades in the engine, stability augmentation and electrical systems, as well as improvements in the life span, reliability, and high-temperature and high-altitude performance of the rotor system.
The helicopter is designed in accordance with the airworthiness and operational system regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Equipped with a highly-integrated advanced avionics system, the helicopter has outstanding flight performance.
As it is easy to maintain and has a low failure rate, the helicopter has gained favor among civil aviation users.
Assigned to different missions, the helicopter can be installed with equipment like electric winches, medical rescue devices, loudspeakers, searchlights, image transmission systems, emergency flotation systems, oxygen systems, and agricultural spraying systems.
It has been widely used in various fields like aerial transportation, border patrol, law enforcement, disaster relief, medical rescue, power line inspection, route surveying, agricultural spraying, sightseeing tours, and aerial photography.
