COSCO SHIPPING BRAZIL, a new-generation green and energy-conserving extreme container ship of the Latin America series independently developed by China, was ready for its maiden voyage at the Port of Paranagua in Brazil on March 18.

It is expected to facilitate the import and export of goods for Brazil and countries along the east coast of South America.

The COSCO SHIPPING BRAZIL container ship has a total capacity of 14,100 standard containers, making it the largest of its kind in South America. Its increase in capacity, and especially its refrigeration space, is expected to better guarantee the import and export of fresh goods.

It will significantly promote construction of the China-Brazil trade corridor and inject new vitality into trade between the two countries, benefiting the two peoples.

China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited highly values the Brazilian market and has continuously optimized its route network layout over the long term, and has been committed to providing high-quality shipping and logistics services to Brazilian customers while promoting China-Brazil trade and contributing to stability of the global supply chain.

The company now operates five liner services in Brazil.

Looking ahead, the company will enhance the stability and security of the supply chain with more of its ships and better services, and provide improved logistics support for import and export customers in the State of Paraná and regions along the east coast of South America.
