China Grain Reserves Group Steps Up Preparations for Summer Grain Acquisition

As the summer grain harvest season draws near, China Grain Reserves Group (Sinograin) is solidly advancing various preparations for summer grain acquisition, coordinating wheat rotation acquisition and minimum purchase price acquisition to ensure the smooth progress of the acquisition work and help guarantee that farmers can sell all their grain.

In Henan, a major wheat-producing region, Sinograin Henan Branch has worked in conjunction with the Henan Provincial Grain Bureau, Henan Bureau of the State Administration of Grain and Material Reserves, and Agricultural Development Bank of China to steadily make preparations in terms of warehouse capacity, personnel, funds, quality inspection, and equipment. To respond to potential extreme weather, all storage points under Sinograin Henan Branch have formulated detailed flood control emergency plans on a "one depot, one plan" basis, conducted emergency drills, and prepared various flood control materials, taking multiple measures to ensure the safe and orderly acquisition of summer grain.

Sinograin Anhui Branch has closely followed the time node of the acquisition work and planned ahead for the preparation. At present, nearly 4 million tons of warehouse capacity for minimum purchase price acquisition has been prepared in the region, distributed in 16 cities. Among them, the warehouse capacity in 8 major wheat-producing cities, including Huaibei, Bozhou, Suzhou, Bengbu, Fuyang, Huainan, Chuzhou and Liu'an, exceeds 2.5 million tons, and the overall warehouse capacity can meet the needs of wheat acquisition in the region. In terms of facilities and equipment, all planned acquisition points are equipped with quality inspection laboratories and instruments and equipment required for warehousing operations, with an expected average daily unloading capacity of about 700 tons and a maximum daily unloading capacity of about 75,000 tons when all storage points start acquisition.

Sinograin Shandong Branch has made early arrangements and taken comprehensive actions to effectively and meticulously do a good job in various preparations for summer grain acquisition, including freeing up and merging warehouse capacity, preparing sufficient acquisition funds, overhauling mechanical equipment, equipping professional personnel, and improving acquisition plans.

Sinograin stated that all branches will continue to optimize the acquisition process, strengthen service guarantees, and ensure that the summer grain acquisition work is carried out in an orderly manner, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of farmers and laying a solid foundation for food security.
