Anhui’s Grain Industry Accelerates High-Quality Development with Strong Brand and Tech Support

As one of China’s 13 major grain-producing provinces, Anhui has maintained its grain output above 80 billion jin for nine consecutive years, with a total output of 83.86 billion jin in 2025. The province is home to 2,067 registered grain enterprises, achieving an industrial output value of 347 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%, which remains among the top in the country, showing a strong momentum of high-quality development in its grain industry.

People’s Network Anhui Channel reports that Anhui has focused on brand building to enhance connotation and value, constructing an overall "1+20+N" brand system. This system consists of 1 provincial public brand including "Wanmei Grain and Oil" and "Wanmei Grain Machinery", 20 city and county regional brands, and N enterprise brands. Up to now, 300 enterprise brands have been integrated, with 142 "Anhui Good Grain and Oil" products and 40 "China Good Grain and Oil" products selected cumulatively, and the number of "China Good Grain and Oil" products ranks second in the country.

"Wanmei Grain and Oil" has won the "China Grain and Oil Influential Public Brand" for the seventh consecutive time, with significantly enhanced brand effect. Huaiyuan County has been rated as a national typical county for the entire agricultural industrial chain, Wuhu rice has been included in the national advantageous characteristic industrial cluster, and Chaohu rice has won the "Wanmei Rice" Gold Award for three consecutive years.

In the field of intensive processing, Lianhe Rice Industry, a top 50 rice processing enterprise in China, has realized the "full-value utilization" of rice, extracting high-value-added protein from broken rice. Jinhongan Rice Industry has launched low-GI rice to accurately meet the new demand for healthy consumption, while Wangrenhe Rice Noodles adheres to the concept of "from paddy field to dining table", with products exported to more than 20 countries and regions.

Anhui has also built a new pattern of grain machinery industry centered on Hefei and coordinated with multiple regions, with the output value of the province’s grain machinery manufacturing industry exceeding 10 billion yuan. "Wanmei Grain Machinery" is favored by grain enterprises at home and abroad. Hefei, known as China’s "Color Sorter Industry Capital", gathers intelligent color sorting equipment enterprises such as Meiya Optoelectronics, Jixun Optoelectronics, Taihe Optoelectronics and Zhongke Optoelectronics, accounting for 70% of the domestic market share and 60% of the international market share.

The province has formed an industrial cluster covering the entire grain circulation chain, including drying, cleaning, transportation, testing and packaging automation. Liuan Yongcheng Electromechanical Company’s independently developed intelligent complete sets of flexible grain packaging equipment have filled the domestic market gap. Fuyang Jieshou, the first national torch characteristic industrial base for grain machinery in Anhui, has promoted the application of intelligent and environmental protection technologies for conveyors and grain cleaners, effectively improving green grain storage levels.
