Shandong-Tibet Cooperation Project: Delangma Natural Drinking Water Project Put into Production in Xigazê

XIGAZÊ, Tibet, April 20 — Recently, the Delangma Natural Drinking Water Project, an aid-Tibet industrial project of Shandong Province invested and constructed by Shandong Debai Group, was officially put into production in Xigazê City, Tibet Autonomous Region. After eight years of arduous efforts to land, the project is rooted on the plateau at an altitude of 3,980 meters, serving as an important achievement of industrial cooperation between Shandong and Tibet, and injecting strong momentum into the development of local characteristic industries and the income increase of local residents.

China Tibet Online reports that the water source of Delangma natural water is located in the Gangdise Mountains at an altitude of 5,780 meters, taken from glacial meltwater and naturally filtered through basalt layers. Test data shows that the water is of excellent quality and rich in various minerals, and has obtained multiple authoritative certifications by virtue of its superior quality, including national-level drinking water quality certification and international green product certification.

To adapt to the special plateau production environment, the factory has built a modern workshop and adopted a fully automatic production line that can operate at minus 30 degrees Celsius. The factory area is equipped with a photovoltaic energy storage system, realizing 100% clean energy power supply, which not only conforms to the concept of green development but also effectively solves the problem of unstable power supply in high-altitude areas.

Wu Xinghua, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Debai Group and relevant person in charge of the project, introduced that since 2016, the group has actively responded to the call of Shandong Province’s aid-Tibet work, successively completing water source exploration, power laying, workshop construction, equipment introduction and other work, and finally promoting the project to be put into production. “We have overcome numerous difficulties such as harsh plateau environment and inconvenient transportation, and made every effort to build the project into a high-quality project that benefits the local people,” he said.

As a vivid practice of enterprise cooperation between Shandong and Tibet, the project has greatly broadened the employment channels for local residents. So far, the project has driven 127 local herdsmen households to become industrial workers, with an average annual income increase of about 48,000 yuan. This not only improves the living standards of local herdsmen but also enhances their sense of gain and happiness.

Shandong Business Daily notes that Shandong Debai Group has made full use of its own retail channels to build an online and offline sales network for the products, promoting Delangma natural water to enter the national market. The offline sales cover more than 2,000 physical stores under the group, while the online sales are carried out through major e-commerce platforms such as Taobao and JD.com, further expanding the market influence of plateau characteristic products.

The official put into production of the Delangma Natural Drinking Water Project not only enriches the types of Tibet’s characteristic industrial products but also deepens the industrial cooperation between Shandong and Tibet, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Tibet’s characteristic industries and the realization of common prosperity of local residents.
