“Shancha Premium Products” Purchasers Tour Hanzhong Tea Areas to Boost Industry Development

On April 9th, the "Shancha Premium Products" National Tea Purchasers Tour to Shaanxi Tea Areas kicked off in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province. Purchasers from across China went deep into key tea-producing areas in Mian County and Nanzheng District, visiting tea gardens and enterprises, discussing cooperation and exploring markets, with precise production and sales docking to smooth the circulation chain, according to Shaanxi Daily.

Nestled in the hinterland of the Qinling and Bashan Mountains, Hanzhong boasts unique ecological advantages of "high latitude, high altitude, abundant clouds and mist, and rich in zinc and selenium", which nurtures high-quality green tea with a strong fragrance, mellow taste and good infusibility. As an important core production area of Shaanxi tea, the city had a tea garden area of 1.33 million mu, a tea output of 75,000 tons and an output value exceeding 11.8 billion yuan in 2025, data from Hanzhong Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs showed. Regional public brands such as "Hanzhong Xianhao" have gained great reputation, and the tea industry has become a pillar industry supporting rural revitalization and driving local people to get rich.

Among them, Mian County, rated as a "World Top-level Green Tea Production Base", has 204,000 mu of tea gardens, with an annual output of 12,500 tons and an output value of 1.77 billion yuan. Nanzheng District, which ranks the second in the city and the fourth in the province in comprehensive strength, has 250,500 mu of tea gardens and an annual output of 15,600 tons, and has been listed among the "Top 100 Tea Counties in China".

In Mian County, the purchasers successively visited Shaanxi Qiongxi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. and Mianshui Chun Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., walking into standardized ecological tea gardens and clean production workshops to inspect the whole-chain production process including tea tree management, fresh leaf picking, tea processing and brand building. At the subsequent production and sales docking forum, both supply and demand sides held in-depth negotiations on procurement standards, supply cycles and cooperation models. Many purchasers reached preliminary cooperation intentions with local tea enterprises, laying a solid foundation for expanding the market and stabilizing sales channels of Shaanxi tea.

"The ecological environment here is superior, and the tea quality is excellent, which fully meets our procurement requirements," said Li Wei, a purchaser from Shanghai Tea Import and Export Co., Ltd., adding that he looks forward to in-depth cooperation with local enterprises.

In Nanzheng District, the purchasers inspected leading tea enterprises such as Shaanxi Lvjiaozi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. and Hanzhong Yunfeng Tea Development Co., Ltd., focusing on the industrial upgrading achievements including the operation of clean production lines, comprehensive utilization of summer and autumn tea, and R&D of characteristic new products. The purchasers highly praised the quality control, standardized production and diversified development of Nanzheng tea, and reached a number of consensuses on channel co-construction, brand promotion and market expansion, further broadening the export path of Shaanxi tea.
