Spring Tea Picking Season Kicks Off in Qinglong Township, Fengdu County, Chongqing
Recently, the tea base in Qinglong Township, Fengdu County, Chongqing Municipality, has entered the spring tea picking season, with fresh tea leaves being picked and processed in an orderly manner, according to local media reports. As a well-known tea town in Chongqing, Qinglong Township has been leveraging its ecological advantages to develop the tea industry, bringing prosperity to local villagers and boosting rural revitalization.
Relying on its superior ecological environment, the township has built more than 2,800 mu of standardized tea gardens, where high-quality tea varieties are planted and managed in a scientific and standardized way to ensure the quality of tea leaves. In addition to the tea planting bases, the Yanyue Lake Tea Culture Experience Base has also been completed, providing visitors with a chance to experience tea picking, making and tasting, and immersive tea culture activities.

To further enhance the influence of its tea industry, Qinglong Township has launched two core IP activities — the "Tea Culture Season" and the "Landscape Tea Party". These activities integrate tea culture, ecological tourism and folk customs, attracting a large number of tourists and promoting the integrated development of the tea industry and tourism. At present, the annual sales volume of tea products in the township exceeds 8 million yuan, laying a solid foundation for industrial development.
While developing the tea industry, Qinglong Township has also established a benefit-sharing mechanism to drive villagers to increase their income. Through the model of "rent from land transfer, salary from working and dividends from shareholding", local villagers can not only obtain stable land transfer fees, but also get salaries by working in the tea gardens, processing factories and experience base. Villagers who participate in equity investment can also get dividends according to the operation situation of the tea industry.
This "three-in-one" income-increasing model has effectively mobilized the enthusiasm of villagers to participate in the tea industry, realizing the goal of "enriching a whole village with a single leaf". It not only promotes the sustainable development of the tea industry, but also helps villagers live a better life, contributing to the solid advancement of rural revitalization in the region.
