Pear Blossoms in Full Bloom Drive Agri‑tourism Integration in Jinzhou, Hebei

On 6 April, visitors rode a sightseeing train past pear orchards belonging to the Ninth Production Team of Zhoujiazhuang Township in Jinzhou City, Hebei Province, as captured by drone. Recently, 170,000 mu of pear trees across Jinzhou have entered full bloom, with white pear blossoms interspersed with fields of golden rapeseed flowers, drawing large numbers of tourists for spring outings and leisure travel, according to Xinhuanet.

As a major pear‑growing region, Jinzhou has leveraged its distinctive agricultural resources to build a vibrant rural tourism economy. Local authorities have continuously upgraded supporting services including sightseeing, fruit picking and educational study tours, turning pastoral scenery into a sustainable source of rural income. Han Zhongshi, Manager of Zhoujiazhuang Agricultural Sightseeing Park, noted that the annual pear blossom season has brought more than 150,000 visitors during the spring period, boosting both ticket sales and on‑farm consumption.

The integrated development model centred on pear cultivation has restructured local rural industries. Unlike traditional single fruit production, Jinzhou has linked planting, sightseeing, experiential activities and agricultural products sales, forming a closed industrial chain. The blooming season not only enhances the visual appeal of the countryside but also supports local employment and increases the income of pear growers.

Zhoujiazhuang Township, as the core viewing area, has integrated its collective agricultural landscape with tourism infrastructure. The sightseeing train route winding through orchards has become a signature experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the sea of blossoms in comfort.
