Spring Blossoms Across Southern China, Painting Breathtaking Scenery
While many parts of northern China are still covered in snow and cold weather lingers, southern China has embraced a vibrant spring. From pink plum blossoms in Chongqing to pink bauhinia in Guangdong and karst landscapes in Guangxi, the southern regions are adorned with stunning spring scenery, attracting citizens and tourists to embrace the warm season.
Recently, Prunus mume var. meirenmei in Chongqing’s Fotuguan Park has bloomed in full, making the spring-exclusive scene "Train to Spring" popular online again, with many people coming specially to take photos. During a visit to the park, clusters of Prunus mume var. meirenmei were in full bloom, forming a cloud-like pink sea covering the branches. The Rail Transit Line 2 passing through the park weaves through the flower clusters, vividly named "Train to Spring" by netizens.
As one of Chongqing’s most iconic landscapes, it attracts a large number of citizens and tourists every year to enjoy spring and take photos, capturing the romantic moment when the rail train meets the pink flower sea. It is understood that the best viewing period of "Train to Spring" will last until mid-March; in addition to Prunus mume var. meirenmei, cherry blossoms, magnolias and other spring flowers in the park will also bloom one after another.

In Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, more than 2,000 mu of pink bauhinia in Lantian Village, Chinni Town, Huadu District has entered its best viewing period recently. The continuous flower sea, like a beautiful scroll, attracts numerous tourists to go for an outing, appreciate flowers and enjoy the Lingnan spring.
The pink bauhinia here, with pink and white flowers covering the branches, stretches along both sides of the river. Seen from a distance, it looks like curling mist and clouds; up close, the flowers are dense and magnificent. When the spring breeze blows, the branches sway gently, and the flowers flutter in the air like butterflies. Accompanying the pink bauhinia are golden trumpet trees distributed along the mountains, with golden and pink and white hues contrasting beautifully with the undulating terrain, painting a colorful picture of Lingnan spring. The flowering period of pink bauhinia is concentrated at the turn of winter and spring, with March being the best viewing time every year. In recent days, many citizens and tourists have wandered in the flower sea, either taking photos or enjoying the spring quietly.
In Chongzuo, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mingshi Village in Daxin County boasts typical karst landforms, with clear mountains, beautiful waters and elegant scenery. Standing tall and varied in shape, the karst peaks are reflected in the jade-like clear river, along with the banyan trees hanging on the banks. The clear river turns an elegant S-shape through the rice fields.
In spring, Mingshi Village is covered with green bamboos, with rice fields on both sides winding along the river banks and the feet of the peaks. The dwellings dotted among them are scattered in an orderly way, with mountains and waters interdependent, filled with poetic charm and breathtaking beauty.
