Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Accelerates Integration into "Computing Power Metals" Ecosystem
According to the Anhui Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, released on October 15, 2026, Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group leverages its full copper industrial chain advantages to respond to market demands in the artificial intelligence computing power sector and integrate into the industrial landscape of computing power metals.
On the resource side, Phase II of the Mirador Copper Mine has been fully completed. The Jiguanshan-Hucun Mine and Yaojialing Mine projects are moving forward at an accelerated pace, strengthening the security of strategic resources. On the smelting side, the smelting sub-project of the copper-based new materials project and Phase II of Jintong Copper Industry have been completed and put into operation. The enterprise’s copper smelting capacity exceeds 2.6 million tonnes, supplying raw materials for high-end copper processing of computing power metals.

Breakthroughs have been achieved in the research and development of high-purity copper. The group’s industrial research institute has produced 5N and 6N high-purity copper, with ongoing industrialization work. In the first half of this year, Tongguan Foil’s copper foil output rose by 3.28% year on year. The output of high-end copper foils including HVLP and RTF increased by 92.44% year on year, supporting material supply for computing chips.
Drawing on its enrichment advantages of copper and scattered metals, the enterprise deploys an indium-gallium-germanium comprehensive recovery project targeting optical communication and power management modules. Upon completion, the project is expected to produce 18.89 tonnes of indium, 0.32 tonnes of gallium and 0.32 tonnes of germanium annually. It will drive product upgrading from intermediate goods to high-purity metals and enhance the independent controllability of industrial and supply chains.
