COSCO Shipping Delivers First Exhibits for 9th CIIE to Shanghai

According to China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, published on 14 October 2026, the 24,000 TEU vessel OOCL Sweden berthed in Shanghai on the afternoon of 12 October, bringing the first batch of exhibits for the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) transported by COSCO Shipping.

The exhibits are supplied by WFL, an Austrian high-end machine tool manufacturer taking part in the expo for the first time. The consignment departed from the firm’s factory in Linz, Austria, was loaded in Hamburg on the AEU3 service of COSCO Shipping Lines and shipped directly to Yangshan Port in Shanghai. COSCO Shipping provided an end-to-end cross-border logistics solution to ensure the precision equipment arrives on schedule for display at the CIIE.

Two transport plans were custom-designed and fully assessed to guarantee safe and efficient shipment of the expo exhibits. A combined sea and land route with a streamlined chain, fewer transshipment points and stronger controllability was selected. Dedicated staff tracked the full process, from collection at the overseas factory, inland haulage and container stuffing, through ocean carriage and port customs clearance.

After the vessel’s arrival at Shanghai port, COSCO Shipping Logistics and Supply Chain carried out follow-up on-site operations seamlessly, completing customs declaration and port release. The equipment was then stored, unloaded, unpacked and delivered to exhibition booths.

As the sole officially recommended international transport service provider, COSCO Shipping has maintained dedicated fast-track logistics arrangements for CIIE exhibits for nine consecutive years, supporting overseas brands to access the Chinese market.
