JAC Group advances automotive upgrading through technological innovation
According to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Anhui Province, JAC Group is pushing forward its transformation into intelligent connected new-energy vehicles, strengthening core capabilities via technological research and reinforcing industrial foundations through supply chain expansion, as it enters a new phase of intelligent and green advanced manufacturing.
The group has steadily increased investment in research and development, prioritising breakthroughs in key core technologies. Its work centres on four areas: complete vehicle integration, application-layer software development, critical component engineering and low-carbon agile manufacturing.
The Zunjie Super Factory is built to level 4 intelligent manufacturing maturity standards, designated a national benchmark site for smart production. It combines digital process control, automated equipment, flexible production lines, agile manufacturing, green energy use and lean management.
More than 3,000 robots operate continuously within the facility, collecting 500,000 data points each second, while over 26,000 critical quality checkpoints deliver granular monitoring of product quality.

In 2026, JAC Group launched Maist, the first computer vision quality-inspection large model for the automotive sector. The model features strong generalisation, removing the need for repeated development for new vehicle configurations and models.
Fine-tuning for a single workstation requires only 50 to 100 sample images, achieving a vehicle defect interception rate of 99.99 per cent. The full AI inspection system has been deployed across more than 1,500 testing scenarios throughout the Zunjie plant, enabling one model to serve multiple use cases and support production across all platforms.
JAC Group has built a collaborative and resilient supply chain ecosystem focused on innovation, rigorous quality standards and sustainable operation. It adopts category-based classification and refined supplier management, applying strict access rules and integrating high-quality global resources. Suppliers are brought into early-stage joint development to smooth technology roll-out.
The group manages quality and costs across the full product lifecycle and promotes modular, interchangeable component design. An end-to-end delivery control system supports real-time visibility over orders, production capacity and inventory.
This integrated approach drives collaborative innovation among hundreds of supply chain partners, drawing more than 200 leading industry suppliers, with over one hundred key component firms established in Anhui.
As the 15th Five-Year Plan period begins, JAC Group will continue research on core technologies and upgrade its industrial chain to raise standards in advanced manufacturing.
