Khorgos Port Records 31.229 Million Tonnes of Import‑Export Freight in January‑August

According to Xinhuanet, Khorgos Port has delivered improved customs clearance performance throughout 2026, drawing on its combined road‑rail intermodal transport capacity.

Customs statistics for Khorgos show total import and export freight volumes hitting 31.229 million tonnes across the first eight months of the year, representing a 1.6 per‑cent year‑on‑year rise.

Import flows are dominated by electrical and mechanical equipment, unwrought copper and copper products, agricultural goods, foodstuffs and metallic ores. Trade values for inbound agricultural and food commodities have registered marked expansion. 

Outbound consignments cover new‑energy vehicles, mechanical and electrical goods, high‑tech manufactured items, garments, textile yarns and finished fabric products.
