China Great Wall Industry Corporation, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, acted as the prime contractor for launch services on this assignment.

The Long March‑2D is a two‑stage launch vehicle that burns non‑cryogenic liquid propellant, developed under the overall responsibility of the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The rocket delivers reliable performance, cost‑effective operation and strong operational adaptability. It is capable of launching either single or multiple spacecraft for a variety of orbital profiles, with a payload capacity of 1.3 tonnes for a 700‑kilometre sun‑synchronous circular orbit.

This flight counts as the 668th launch carried out by the Long March family of carrier rockets.
