Shandong Heavy Industry delivers robust H1 2026 growth amid global, green and digital transformation
Shandong Heavy Industry has secured solid operational growth in the first half of 2026, advancing its strategic transformation towards globalisation, low-carbon development, digital intelligence and ecological industrial layout. The group has consolidated high-quality development momentum through industrial optimisation, technological innovation and expanded market coverage, reporting steady improvements across core financial and operational indicators.
The group recorded a total operating revenue of 331.9 billion yuan in the first six months of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. Export revenue reached 62.4 billion yuan, up 33.4% year on year, while domestic new energy business revenue hit 24.4 billion yuan with a 57% year-on-year surge, ranking among the top players in the domestic high-end equipment manufacturing sector.
Global market expansion has become a key driver of the group’s performance growth. Shandong Heavy Industry has continued to optimise its overseas layout and channel system, achieving comprehensive growth across the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, America and Europe markets. Its heavy-duty truck export business under Sinotruk maintains leading market standings, consolidating the global competitiveness of China’s commercial vehicle brands.
The group has strengthened global brand exposure and product influence by participating in a series of influential international exhibitions and exchange events throughout the first half of the year. Major overseas platforms including Turkey’s KOMATEK 2026, Brazil’s Agrishow and Australia’s DDT exhibitions have showcased its intelligent and eco-friendly high-end equipment and core technologies, boosting international recognition of Chinese manufacturing strengths.

Green industrial layout has released remarkable growth potential. Centred on low-carbon development goals, the group has accelerated research, development and scenario application of new energy and clean energy technologies. Its booming new energy business has emerged as a core growth pillar, with new energy heavy-duty truck sales under Sinotruk jumping 141% year on year and occupying expanding domestic market share to secure leading industry position.
Industrial structure upgrading and emerging business cultivation have further empowered strategic transformation. Shandong Heavy Industry officially launched its seventh business segment covering power energy in January 2026, filling industrial gaps and building a more resilient competitive system for long-term development. The newly established sector has achieved rapid volume growth in the first half of the year, with sales revenue rising 29.8% year on year and total sales volume growing 34%. Data centre product sales recorded a year-on-year increase of 136%, fully unlocking the growth momentum of emerging strategic industries.
Continuous technological breakthroughs have underpinned industrial upgrading. Weichai Power has obtained national VI certification for the world’s first hydrogen internal combustion engine and realised commercial operation of 100kW Solid Oxide Fuel Cell products, which have accumulated nearly 70,000 hours of stable operation. The independently developed 5MW high-speed diesel generator set features industry-leading power density performance. Its key research project on high-performance diesel engine technologies has won the second prize of the 2025 National Science and Technology Progress Award, reflecting outstanding independent innovation capabilities in core equipment fields.
Shandong Heavy Industry will continue to advance its four-dimensional transformation strategy and focus on the high-end equipment manufacturing main business. The group will further strengthen technological research and innovation, optimise industrial structure and global market layout, and steadily enhance comprehensive industrial competitiveness in the second half of 2026. It will keep advancing industrial upgrading of the equipment manufacturing sector and high-quality development of the real economy with solid industrial and technological strengths.
