Jiangsu Provincial State-owned Enterprises Hold On-site Meeting to Strengthen Work Safety Governance
Recently, an on-site meeting on work safety of Jiangsu’s provincial state-owned enterprises was held at Nanjing Port Xinshengwei Company. With the theme of "Strengthening Foundations through Technology for Work Safety and Ensuring Safety through Practical Emergency Drills", the meeting integrated warning education, equipment display, practical drills and work deployment, comprehensively demonstrating the achievements of work safety construction of provincial state-owned enterprises and promoting their work safety governance capacity to a new level.
People’s Network reported that participants focused on visiting Jiangsu’s first port and shipping work safety warning education museum. The museum has five exhibition areas, namely "Life First", "Alarm Bells Ring", "Safety Education", "Technology for Work Safety" and "Safe Port and Shipping". It adopts interactive forms such as holographic technology, VR immersive experience and first-aid practical training, enabling participants to strengthen their awareness of safety red lines and keep the string of work safety tight through real-scene experience.

In the technology-enabled work safety equipment area, more than 30 sets of cutting-edge safety equipment from provincial state-owned enterprises and Jiangsu Fire Rescue Corps were displayed. Advanced equipment including smart construction site management systems, wheel-foot robots, aerogel fire-extinguishing equipment, intelligent AR glasses, smart safety helmets, intelligent drones, smart fire protection and active security covers the whole scene of risk early warning, intelligent inspection, emergency rescue and on-site protection. This effectively promotes the upgrading of safety management from traditional "human-based prevention" to a three-dimensional prevention and control model of "human-based + technology-based prevention", in line with the intelligent transformation trend of safety management in China’s construction and port industries.
Xinhua News Agency noted that intelligent equipment such as wheel-foot robots has been widely applied in safety inspection scenarios, realizing automatic inspection tasks, hidden danger identification and closed-loop management of rectification, which greatly improves inspection efficiency and accuracy. Synchronously, a practical emergency rescue drill for fire accidents of port new energy equipment was carried out, focusing on new formats and risks of ports and setting three practical scenarios, which provided replicable and promotable linkage experience for emergency disposal of new energy scenarios in large ports across the province.
A subsequent work meeting on work safety of provincial state-owned enterprises summarized the previous work, analyzed the current situation and problems, and deployed key tasks for the next step. It emphasized that 2026 is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the final year of the three-year action for tackling the root causes of work safety, and a crucial year for the systematic advancement of "six modernizations" construction. All provincial state-owned enterprises will further consolidate foundations, focus on key points, plug loopholes, prevent risks and strengthen implementation to fully consolidate the support and guarantee for work safety.
China Government Network pointed out that port operators and relevant enterprises should formulate emergency plans and conduct regular drills. In response to this requirement, Jiangsu’s provincial state-owned enterprises will continue to deepen the integration of intelligent equipment and work safety scenarios, optimize emergency disposal mechanisms, and ensure the stable operation of enterprises and regional safety.
