The 28th Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo Kicks Off, Boosting Global Tech Cooperation

Xinhua News Agency reports that the 28th China Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo was held at the China National Convention Center from May 8 to 10. Hosted by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the expo took "Technology Leadership, Creating a Shared Future" as its theme, covering a total exhibition area of about 50,000 square meters and attracting more than 800 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions to participate.

The expo consists of three major sections: the exhibition, trade and investment promotion activities, and online display and docking. The exhibition section sets up six thematic exhibition areas, including information technology, medical and health care, and green dual carbon. The trade and investment promotion activities include more than 20 industrial docking and exchange events, while the upgraded online platform has built a 365-day "never-ending" docking space.

Five concurrent events, such as the China-EU Dual Carbon Practice Docking Conference, are held to facilitate international scientific and technological industry exchanges. People’s Daily Online notes that the expo has also launched 37 supporting activities, a significant increase from the previous session, including the Beijing-ASEAN Science and Technology Industry Promotion and Negotiation Conference and the Green and Low-Carbon New Quality Technology Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference.

The expo features four prominent highlights. It focuses on displaying a number of independent and controllable cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements, such as the Loongson 3A6000, quantum computers and humanoid robots. Leveraging the capital’s resources, it showcases the innovation achievements of the "Three Cities and One District" and the effectiveness of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

It also gathers enterprises and exhibition groups from many countries to smooth the channels for global scientific and technological industry cooperation. In addition, it launches people’s livelihood science and technology products such as AI intelligent equipment and autonomous driving, empowering life with technology and activating new consumption drivers. A number of digital exhibition achievements, including the Metropolitan Exhibition Digital Intelligence Platform, were also released during the expo.

Centered on achievement display, collaborative innovation and open cooperation, the 28th Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo has injected new vitality into the high-quality development of the capital, the coordinated innovation of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and global scientific and technological industry exchanges. The upgraded online platform will continue to play a role, providing a long-term cooperation platform for enterprises and institutions at home and abroad.
