Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway Adds Auto-Specific Line to Boost Hubei Auto Exports

Recently, China Railway implemented a new freight train operation plan, with Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway adding one more train to the Alashankou direction. The new train, a dedicated “auto line” tailored for the export of Hubei’s auto industry, operates every Friday, marking a new step in optimizing the railway’s service capacity and supporting local industrial development.

CNR reports that since the start of this year, Wuhan Hanou International Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hanou International) has actively strived to increase the number of scheduled trains and their operation frequency, continuously improving service quality and efficiency to fully meet the transportation needs of Hubei’s auto industry exports. Currently, the frequency of scheduled outbound trains on the European route of Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway has been increased to 9 trains per week.

The dedicated auto line plays a crucial role in accelerating the export of Hubei’s auto industry. In the first quarter of this year, Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway helped Hubei’s auto exports grow by 79.24% year-on-year, providing strong logistics support for the province’s pillar industry to expand into the global market.

China News Network notes that Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway has maintained steady development in recent years, having operated 6,268 trains cumulatively so far. It has opened 63 stable cross-border transportation routes, radiating 42 countries and 124 cities across Eurasia, and has maintained a record of operating over 1,000 trains for three consecutive years, demonstrating strong channel advantages.

To better serve industrial development, Hanou International, operated by Hubei Port Group, has explored the “train + port” multimodal transport model, giving full play to the superimposed effect of the China-Europe Railway and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway. It took the lead in launching the “single bill of lading” iron-water intermodal train, effectively improving transportation efficiency.

Xu Chen, a spokesperson for Hanou International, stated that the new auto-specific line is customized to meet the characteristics of auto export transportation, with optimized loading and transportation plans to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of vehicles. “We will continue to optimize the train operation layout, strengthen the function of the Central China Regional Assembly Center for China-Europe Railway Express, and help Hubei’s auto industry deepen its presence in the global market,” he said.

The operation of the auto-specific line not only enriches the service categories of Wuhan China-Europe (Asia) Railway but also further strengthens the connection between Hubei’s auto industry and the Eurasian market. It has become an important “steel bridge” for Hubei’s manufacturing to go global, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
