First China "AI + New Materials" Conference Held in Nansha, Charting Future Industry Trends

The high integration of the information revolution and the material revolution is the top-level innovation source of the contemporary industrial revolution, and "AI + New Materials" determines the major new direction of the world’s future industries. From April 9 to 12, the first China "AI + New Materials" Conference was held in Nansha, Guangzhou, according to China Economic Net. More than 50 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 10 overseas academicians, as well as more than 4,000 high-end scholars, entrepreneurs and investors in the field of "AI + New Materials" attended the conference.

It is reported that the conference set up 14 academician reports in 3 units and 19 sub-forums focusing on national major strategic urgent fields. These sub-forums cover key strategic areas such as AI + material gene engineering, material data, models and intelligent systems, intelligent material design, intelligent material processing, material bio-manufacturing, as well as AI-enabled frontier materials, energy materials, intelligent materials and composite materials, according to China Daily Online. By gathering national strength and building top-level high-end intellectual resources, the conference aims to discuss technology integration paths, promote a coordinated and developing innovation ecosystem, and strive to advance the leapfrog development of China’s new materials industry.
