Wuhe County Boosts Textile and Apparel Industry via Intelligent and Digital Upgrading

In recent years, Wuhe County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, has pressed ahead with intelligent and digital transformation in the textile and apparel sector through technological innovation, while building a large-scale industrial cluster that covers the whole chain from raw material processing to finished product manufacturing, in a bid to support the development of the county-level economy.

By the end of 2025, Wuhe County was home to 67 enterprises above designated size in the textile and apparel industry, with an annual output value exceeding 5 billion yuan.

The county has taken technological innovation as the core driving force to upgrade its traditional textile industry. 

By promoting the application of intelligent production systems and digital management tools, local enterprises have improved production efficiency, enhanced product quality and strengthened cost control.

Alongside technological upgrading, Wuhe County has focused on integrating and extending the industrial chain. 

It has fostered a complete industrial layout that includes yarn production, fabric weaving, dyeing and finishing, and garment manufacturing. 

The clustering effect has been further enhanced with the steady growth of enterprise numbers and production capacity, making the sector a pillar of the county’s industrial economy.

Supported by favourable industrial policies and complete supporting facilities, the textile and apparel industry in Wuhe County has maintained sound development momentum. 

The scale and quality of the sector have been lifted in tandem, providing solid industrial support for the high-quality development of the county’s economy.
