Probation Period of Switzerland's Oronaz Spa Company Extended, Providing a Buffer for Its Development

On Tuesday (local time), the Martigny and St. Moritz District Court officially made a ruling to extend the probation period of Germainp Oronaz Spa Company by four months, with the extended probation period ending on June 24, 2026. 

The ruling officially took effect after the court confirmed the relevant information previously released by the Christian Union of Valais (SCIV) in Castel-ATS.

It is reported that the operation and development of Oronaz Spa Company has encountered twists and turns before. 

The Oronaz Thermal Baths under the company was declared bankrupt at the end of August 2025, but only a few days later, the Martigny and St. Moritz District Court revoked the bankruptcy declaration and initiated new relevant legal proceedings, retaining the possibility for the enterprise to continue operations, which also laid the foundation for the extension of the probation period this time.

The court's ruling to extend the probation period related to bankruptcy protection this time has given a breathing space to the struggling Oronaz spa industry. 

The Federation of Social Enterprises has clearly welcomed this ruling, stating that the decision provides a prospect for the continuous development of Oronaz Spa Company, all its employees and the Oronaz region.

The Federation of Social Enterprises further pointed out that the extension of the probation period this time is an important step to protect the development of the enterprise, which helps maintain the normal operation order of the enterprise, ensure the stability of existing jobs, and rebuild the trust of all parties in the development of the enterprise. 

However, the federation also emphasized that the continuation of this positive outcome is premised on the full and effective cooperation between the enterprise management and creditors, relevant authorities as well as worker representatives.

As an important entity in the local spa industry, the survival and development of Oronaz Spa Company is not only related to the employment stability of its own employees, but also has an impact on the industrial vitality of the Oronaz region.
