China-Europe Freight Trains Set out from Jiangsu to Support Belt and Road Construction
The China-Europe freight trains that have departed from Nanjing, Xuzhou, Suzhou and Lianyungang in East China's Jiangsu Province are expected to support Belt and Road construction.

Nanjing
A China-Europe freight train carrying 46 standard containers of supplies including fertilizer departed from Nanjing on Jan 22. The production supplies arrived in Laos on Jan 29.
The freight train service is a result of coordinated work of freight train service companies at provincial and municipal levels. It is expected to further open the region's economy and contribute to national development in affected areas by giving full play to the China-Laos Railway, a flagship high-quality Belt and Road project.
Xuzhou
A China-Europe freight train set out from Xuzhou on Jan 22, transporting 100 standard containers of rubber tires and general merchandise produced by local enterprises as well as other foreign trade goods to Russia.
Meanwhile, a China-Europe freight train returning from the Siberian region in Russia brought back 76 standard containers of linseed to China.
Suzhou
Also on Jan 22, the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Jiang Su Hao China-Europe freight train set out from the Suzhou West Railway Station, taking 110 standard containers of export goods to Moscow, Russia. Valued at about $5.15 million, the goods mainly included electronic products, electric tools and daily necessities produced by local enterprises. They were scheduled to arrive in Moscow in 14 days. The freight train service is expected to meet export demands of Jiangsu-based foreign trade enterprises and serve consumer markets in countries along the railway line.
Lianyungang
A China-Europe freight train also departed from Lianyungang on Jan 22. Carrying 100 standard containers of goods such as second-hand Japanese and South Korean vehicles and general merchandise weighing about 600 metric tons and valued at $1.38 million, the train departed from the China-Kazakhstan Logistics Base for stations in Kazakhstan.
The train service will serve the goal of building an opening-up China through links running eastward and westward, across land and over sea, and will contribute to Jiangsu's involvement in Belt and Road construction.
